Frequently Asked Questions

1.      How are the water coolers installed?

We install our water coolers using highly reliable food-grade polyethylene tubing, and quick-connect fittings. Every cooler installation is slightly different, but a typical installation involves putting the water filtration system under the sink in the kitchen, then running the filtered water line to the back of the cooler. In addition, we’ll installing a “T” in the filtered water line and run it to the coffee machines, and ice makers. In cases where the water coolers are not located in the kitchen, we’ll run the water lines over the dropped ceilings and down inside the wall. We’ll then cut a small hole in the wall behind the cooler, put color matched wall cover plate on it, and connect the water line to the back of the cooler. Our installations are similar to how your phone, or computer, lines have been run throughout your office and take from 15-45 minutes to install.

2.      How do you know when the filters need to be changed? How often should the coolers be serviced?

We recommend that each cooler service a maximum of 40 employees. This will allow the filter to last for a full 12-months, while also filtering the water.  The filtration system will automatically shut itself off when it has reached the end of it’s life.

3.      What kind of filters do you use?

We use filters recommended by the product manufacturer, PHSI (Pure Health Solutions, Inc.). These filters consist of the following:
Sediment Pre-Carbon Reverse Osmosis Membrane Post Carbon

The filters remove chlorine, lead, cysts, and other contaminant larger than ˝ micron in size.

4.      What is a Reverse Osmosis (RO) Filter?

Reverse Osmosis filters use “Semi-Permeable Membrane” technology. In this technology water is pushed against a membrane with microscopic pores that only allow H2O molecules to pass through. All other contaminants are flushed away leaving only extremely pure water for drinking.

5.      Where does bottled water come from?

Two-thirds of all bottled water today is filtered tap water; the other one-third comes from other sources such as wells or springs. Almost all bottled water is then filtered at the bottling plant and sealed into bottles. Bottled water is not necessarily safer than tap water, as it then sits un-refrigerated in its bottle for indefinite amounts of time, allowing for the growth of bacteria, or leaching of the chemicals that make up the plastic bottles.

6.      What's the problem with bottled water?

The most obvious problem with bottled water, and the water that is dispensed from bottled coolers, is bacteria growth. After bottled water has been filtered it sits in the bottles un-refrigerated, which allows the growth of bacteria. Also, dirt, dust, and airborne germs can easily enter the bottled water coolers through the large opening in the top of the cooler. When the bottles are changed the neck of the bottled is rarely sanitized, nor are the person’s hands changing the bottle, therefore whatever is on the neck or on the bottle changer’s hands is now in your water storage tank. And finally, when was the last time you saw the bottled water company come and clean, or sanitize, a bottled water cooler?

7.      What makes Pure Water Technology's coolers different from other companies that supply filtered coolers?

Cost Savings

Our rental program creates 20-50% savings over other filtered water cooler companies.

Employees and customers are greatly impressed by this delightful way of enjoying a premium cup of coffee. Details

Decisions:

1.      Determine if you would like to offer coffee at no expense to your employees and guests. Pure Water Technology has a solution for both options and a mixture of options.

2.      Determine the brewer. Smaller businesses use a Keurig (www.Keurig.com) brewer which can be purchased directly from Keurig, from a local department store, or the higher-usage, business rated models may be purchased directly from Pure Water Technology. Organizations with over 65 employees might want to offer coffee from a commercial size, cup-at-a-time brewer. For this solution, Pure Water Technology also proudly offers the product line from Cafections, Inc. (http://cafection.com/english/products.html)

3.      Determine the water. Lastly, and most importantly, the type of WATER you put into your brewer plays a significant role in the coffee drinking experience. You must start with pure water…add superior coffee…to wind up with an outstanding cup of coffee. The Pure Water System connects to your coffee brewer (via a small 1/4" water line) so only the best water on the planet can be used to make your coffee
